Indie Wearable Craft

Indie Wearable Craft is the name of a new style show and sale featuring six hand selected designers who make clothing and wearable accessories.
Organized by Kirsten Coplans, designer of pearl clothing, Jil Cappuccio, owner of Jil Cappuccio One of a Kinds & Limited Lines, located at 1433 Ogden Street, and Christina Patzman, designer of Darling Ruth.
Indie Wearable Craft urban style mart will be held in a downtown Denver studio, located at 1754 Humboldt Street between 17th and 18th avenue on Friday April 29th from 5-9 pm, Saturday April 30th from 10-5 pm, and Sunday May 1st from 10-3pm. There is plenty of parking in the lot located at 1750 Humboldt Street. The event is free and open to the public.
Indie Wearable Craft urban style mart was created to fill a niche of wearable style, clothing for women and men, jewelry, and handbags, made by independent local designers who?s style works together to create an entire look. The designers include Swear Jar, Becky?s Buttons, Darling Ruth, Jil Cappuccio, Vital Industries, and pearl clothing.
This new event will be held in a renovated brick building transformed into a working studio and is perfect as a store like setting. Indie Wearable Craft is for people who love one of a kind, handmade, beautifully crafted, recycled, unique, screen printed style, and want to support local independent designers.

Summertime Update
Hello Crafting Friends!
Wow, this summer is flying by. Please excuse my lapse in communication. So far, my summer has been spent traveling around the country and trying to catch an energentic little 2 year old. On top of that, we are expecting another baby in September!
I hope to organize something fun this summer – be it an outdoor craft fair or maybe just a couple YART sales, but we’ll see what time and energy allow for.
Thanks for your understanding and don’t worry the handmade militia is not going anywhere!

French Nest Market
Hello Crafting Friends!
This year I’m afraid my schedule will not allow me to run the Handmade Militia booth at the French Nest Market. But I wanted to make sure everyone had all of the info for participating on their own. I want to encourage you to participate, it’s a great market with a big crowd and it’s run by the nicest people!
The French Nest Market is every 3rd Saturday of the month starting in May.
It is in civic center park – off of Laporte Ave in between Mason and Howes
9am – 3pm
10×10 booths are $115
10×20 doubles are $180
halves are $75
$50 discount if you sign up for all 5 plus an extra $50 off if you sign up for all five by April 15th.
Two important notes (from the lovely ms. christy bush):
1) there are a very limited number of half booth spaces, and we are already sold out of half booth spaces for most markets, but check anyway to be sure if one’s not open
2) due to the large number of applications we have received from jewelry vendors, we will be jurying vendors applying in this category on April 10th. Anyone wanting to apply as a jewelry vendor should submit their application ASAP to be included in the jury.
Although we do not have a “written in stone” policy related to the number of vendors who can share a booth space, we prefer not more than 3 vendors per 10 X 10 booth space, and not more than 4 per 10 X 20 booth space. If a group of vendors larger than this wants to apply together, they can contact us by telephone at 970-482-1291 to discuss their unique situation.
Please contact Laura or Christy with any questions or for a copy of the 2010 application: info@thefrenchnestmarket.com
Best of luck to you all!!
